Sec 5.2(1)(c) of the ID screening regs of Aeronautics Act: “An air carrier shall not transport a passenger if the passenger does not appear to be of the gender indicated on the identification he or she presents.”

Ok… don’t shoot me… but I can understand why. I DON’T CONDONE IT! I just get it… at least internationally. Making sure you are who you say you are on your id can be very important when traveling in and out of the country.
THAT ALL BEING SAID, I hope someone sues his ass. There’s got to be a way for pre-op/non-op Trans folks to travel. Some other form of identification or paper work maybe…
